With its 3,087 meters above sea level, Pico Duarte is the highest mountain in the Caribbean and is one of the most exciting trips for lovers of hiking and nature.

This river originates in the inside of the country, to finish in the Caribbean Sea,east of La Romana, the Chavon is known to have been the decoration of some scenes of movies such as Apocalypse Now, Rambo 3 and Anaconda.
