Nature in the National park d’El Este

Situated in the sector of Bayahibe, lined with a beach in the crystalline.

Colors, the Natural reserve d’El Este covers a natural surface protected from 42.000 hectares, main destination of the visitors who wish to discover the tropical islands; it’s set up by 8 terraces of coral, 400 caves of which some are decorated by pictograms and rests of ceramic.

This area of greenery is also the asylum of 539 varieties of flowers and more than 110 different species of birds (some of the Caribbean and others of region endemic), manatees (endangered species) and marine tortoises.

Most of the tourists visit this park during an excursion on the uninhabited islands of Saona or Catalina, whose main attractiveness stays its virgin beaches.
