(2 votes)

Also known under the name of Serena Cay, this protected natural island represents one of the jewels of Republic Dominican.

Accessible by boat since La Romana and Cumayasa. Inside a rain forest, lined with sand white, ideal as site of dive, on a surface about 15 km ², this almost uninhabited island is recognized for its quiet waters, where from its name " Serena” This protected maritime park is the refuge of more than 100 species of birds and marine tortoises, where dolphins and flying fish live with the amateurs of dive. Near the edge, we can again perceive the vestiges of a wreck, a refuge of moray eels, spiny lobsters and horse mackerels. In the zone "VIP" discover some tracks of life, small detached houses and kiosks where the visitors who take advantage of the peace of the island cool in the shade of palm trees.
